BlackLine actually started out as Arenz Photography. Arenz Photography opened their doors in 2003 in Brainerd, MN. We shoot with professional grade Canon cameras as well as professional light systems. To save you from boredom that is the extent of "shop talk". As long as the gear works most people don't care what brand it is.
BlackLine is a company which prides itself on honesty and integrity and giving the customer a great value for their money. Customer satisfaction is one of our highest priorities. We take a step beyond our competition by providing our customers with Flexible Ordering . By this we mean that you order what you want. We do not do packages for our wedding or portraits sessions. We also don't limit poses or outfit changes, as long as time permits.

Jon
grew up in Mandan, North Dakota "suburb" of Bismarck. Throughout his
childhood he was athlete, playing on baseball and football teams. It was in
high school where Jon picked up a camera to shoot for the school newspaper.
At that point he decided to pursue photography in college. Jon graduated with
a degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Photojournalism from St.
Cloud State University in Minnesota in the spring of 2003. Soon after graduation
Jon and his wife, Dawn, moved to Brainerd, MN to start their respective careers,
Jon in photography and Dawn in criminal justice. Jon's background in photography
ranges from newspaper type photojournalism to music journalism to forensic photography
to portraits and weddings. He has two children of his own Zakkry and Sofie.
Jon is very easy-going, , innovative, and inspired. He is also a dedicated photographer who always goes out of his way to get the best shot for his clients. He treats his clients like the personal friends, welcoming their questions and contact long after the shoot, portrait or wedding. He also realizes that people are not all the same and doesn't treat them or their pictures that way, so he tries to give every client a unique experience.
